This piece was inspired by watching the classic version of the iconic ballet swan lake. I had recently purchased the white petrified wood which is a gorgeous piece of stone and made a connection. I don't often make brooches but this design suited a backing rather than a hanging suspension. I have produced a white swan in top quality New Zealand Petrified wood, which is also on this website.
This is a very consistent good quality black jade from Cowell in Southern Australia.
